Joining us today will be Jason Soucy from the Travelers Championship.
This June’s event will be Jason Soucy’s 7th tournament as an integral part of the Travelers Championship management team, as he assumed the role of Director of Sales for the tournament leading up to the 2009 event. Prior to the Travelers Championship, Mr. Soucy enjoyed several years of experience marketing, selling and promoting championship golf on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour in multiple markets around the country.
Immediately prior to joining the Travelers Championship team, Mr. Soucy was part of the IMG Golf Division, serving as Vice President of North American Event Sales. During his time at IMG Golf, he also served as the Tournament Director for the 2007 Women’s World Match Play Championship on the LPGA Tour in New Rochelle, NY, and the 2006 PGA Tour Challenge Series event, the Del Webb Father Son Challenge in Orlando, FL.
Mr. Soucy spent several years as a Tournament Director in the PGA of America tournament department. He was the on-site Director for the Senior PGA Championship in 2001 at Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey, and the 2003 Senior PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. He began his tenure with the PGA of America in 1998, managing the on-site operations team at the 33rd Ryder Cup Matches in Brookline, MA.
In addition to his golf industry experience, Mr. Soucy served as the Assistant General Manager/Director of Sales at Agganis Arena at Boston University during it’s opening from 2004-2006.
Mr. Soucy holds an MBA and a B.S. in Sports Communication from Southern New Hampshire University and the University of New Hampshire respectively.
Mr. Soucy relocated to Glastonbury, Conn. in the fall of 2010. He resides there with his wife Jill, and his two daughters, Alexis Grace & Riley Kate.
