Blair Smart is currently in medical school at Rush and has already exemplified how Rotary can affect young people to do great things He has undergone several humanitarian projects in the Phillipines through the cooperation of the Tacloban Rotary. Blair had come to us a few years ago informing us of his work with the children in a Phillippine villiage who, instead of going to school, would rummage through a local dumpsite looking for anything of value for survival. He devised a program called "Feeding A Future" that would feed these children if they attended school. Through the help of many of our own members, he was able to help 20 children. Blair now comes to us with another project that has been very successful through John Hopkins Medical Center in preventing and treating cervical cancer in woman, in third world countries.
