Milford Rotary is pleased to announce the completion of an emergency medical hospital in the City of Tanjay, Negros Oriental, Philippines . This will now allow the local community of 75,000 residents access to emergency medical care and preventative medicine that was not available previously. This wonderful project was made possible through the joint efforts of the Rotary Club of Tanjay and Milford Rotary with the cooperation of local government officials, without whose help this project could not have been successful. On November 29, 2003, a second delegation from the Rotary Club of Milford, Connecticut, travelled to the facility to participate in a much anticipated Opening Ceremony, attended by Provincial Governor George Arnaiz and many other provincial and local officials. The facility will be staffed by interns from Provincial Hospital, some 40 miles away.
