Milford Stars Contest Rules

 

• For dancers over 18 years of age.
• Dances to be in a Ballroom Style.
• Dance competition to be at one’s own risk.
• $60 per person ($120 per couple) entry fee. This will include admission to the event at Grassy Hill on March 7^th.
• First 50 applicants with paid registration by Feb 1^st will be eligible to tryout for the first round of competition.
• Tryouts will be scheduled on one of the following dates: Sat., Feb 9^th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, and Feb 15^th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ballroom Experience, 215 Pepes Farm Rd, Milford. If more dates are needed, they will be added.
• Dancers will provide their own music on CD, with the proper track marked.
• Appropriate dance attire, please.
• 10 couples will be chosen for the finals, and notified 2 weeks prior to the event.
• Finalists should have 2 dances prepared (one for the final dance round). 5 minute maximum time allowed per dance.
• Final competition will be judged on creativity, ability & style.  If there is a tie, the winner will be chosen at the judge’s discretion. The final round of competition will feature the three couples with the highest score, and the audience will participate in the final vote.
